Who can benefit from this programme?
Women experiencing a few or many of a wide range of body
image and eating behaviour concerns will find this program useful. Examples
include, women experiencing concerns and feeling anxious about their body
size, shape and weight; young women who find themselves constantly dieting, doing
excessive exercise, fasting, vomiting, or taking laxatives after eating; young
women worried about binge eating behaviours and emotional eating; and young women who
may feel distressed and anxious about the extent to which body shape, weight and
food is dominating their lives.

Eating, weight and shape issues are common concerns to both men and women. A negative body image generally leads to feelings of anxiety, distress and sadness. This group is about learning to appreciate oneself and one’s body whilst learning the best possible ways to enhance well-being, including weight loss where necessary.
